WordCamp US 2024: Sharing A Journey from Freelancer to Agency Owner

This is a summary from our agency owner Karena Kreger.

Last week, I had the privilege of co-presenting at WordCamp US 2024 with my friend and colleague Gina Deaton, the Chief of Staff of ClockworkWP. Together, we shared our business journeys in a session titled “Scaling Your Agency: Lessons Learned the Hard Way,” where we offered insights on growing from solo freelancers to running a full-fledged agency.

Gina and I each shared our unique experiences with the conference attendees in a dynamic presentation that was (hopefully) filled with valuable takeaways. We covered everything from client management and building the right team to handling the inevitable growing pains that come with scaling a business.

Held in Portland, Oregon, this year’s annual conference brought together the best minds in the WordPress community to share knowledge, network, and learn about the latest developments in web design and digital strategy. It was an inspiring environment, perfect for anyone looking to expand their skill set or grow their business, and I am honored to have been a small part of it.

If couldn’t make it, you can still catch replay here.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at the conference, and to the WordCamp US 2024 organizers for hosting such a collaborative, memorable event. We can’t wait until next year!
